Barcelona win the 2009 Spanish Super Cup (Supercopa de España) with a 5:1 aggregate victory over Athletic Bilbao. Last season's double winners Barça won the first leg 2-1 in Bilbao and the second leg 3-0 at the Nou Camp. The Blaugrana have now won the traditional season-opener of Spanish soccer eight times, equaling the record total of Real Madrid.
