Bohemians FC won their second consecutive League of Ireland title after their 1-1 draw at Bray Wanderers and Shamrock Rovers 1-0 loss at St Patrick's Athletic on the final day of the season gave the Bohs a 4 point lead. The Premier Division title had effectively been decided the week before and Rovers needed to overturn a huge goal difference disparity to clinch the title. But the title officially remains at Dalymount Park for another season.
This was Bohemians FC's 11th league title, which places them third and four back of Shamrock Rovers in the all-time list.
On the bottom end, with Derry City FC's expulsion, only one club will be going down to the First Division. Bray Wanderers and Drogheda United will play off and the loser will play off against First Division second placed Shelbourne for a spot in next season's Premier Division.
