Bohemians captured the 2009 League of Ireland Cup (also known as the EA Sports Cup) with a 3-1 win over Waterford United. The match was held at Waterford's Regional Sports Centre, with the Bohs jumping to a 3-0 halftime lead before Waterford got a late consolation goal. This was Bohemian's second League Cup title, the first coming exactly 30 years ago. Derry City lead the all-time winners table with nine.
