Description:

Sochaux is a small town near Montbéliard. Sochaux is the home of a Peugeot factory and the club was founded as a Peugeot company team. The first professional team in France. The 'Lionceaux' is a reference to the club's logo, which itself is a reference to Peugeot, whose logo is - wait for it - a lion.  In 1930, Sochaux merged with  l'A.S. Montbéliard. Have spent the most seasons in the top division of any French club - 60 as of 2007-08.

Stade Auguste Bonal:

The Stade Auguste Bonal is named for a former club president, assassinated by the Nazis during World War II. Previous stadiums - Champ de Foire (1928-31).
