Stade Saint-Germain originally formed in 1904. 1970 merger of Paris FC and Stade Saint-Germain to create Saint-Germain-en-Laye. In 1972, club split and one half merged with CA Montreuil to create a new Paris FC. Remaining members became Paris Saint-Germain. Saint-Germain-en-Laye is a suburb of Paris. The club's training ground is currently located in Saint-Germain-en-Laye. It was the longtime stadium of Stade Saint-Germain.
