Description:
Formed on January 11, 1957. Named after the English club Arsenal. Colors are taken from those of Independiente and Racing, of which many founders were fans. Those two clubs are based in the Avellaneda neighborhood of Buenos Aires, of which Sarandí is a section. The stadium is named for the former club president, who is now the president of the AFA (Asociación del Fútbol Argentino).
