Description:
Founded on March 19, 1905. Named for the Argentine historical figure Manuel Belgrano. The colors are taken from the flag of Argentina, which was actually designed by Belgrano himself. In 1910, Club Pergamino de Nueva Córdoba merged into Belgrano. In the earliest days, the club did not have a formal ground and had to 'borrow' materials for goals and perimeter fencing, thus acquiring the nickname Piratas (Pirates).
