Description:
Formed by Albert Siems, at the time a member of the athletics club Linzer Athletik Sportklub Siegfried. The first club from outside of Vienna to win the championship. In 1997 merged with city rivals FC Linz, although effectively FC Linz disappeared. The stadium carries the nickname Gugl for the Gugl-Meeting, Austria's largest one-day athletics meet which is held there every summer.
