Description:

The name translates as The General Sports Club, symbolic of the club's ideals as being open to everyone and also that it would focused on athletics, at that time called "allmän idrott" in Swedish. Originally founded in Stockholm but relocated to the suburb of Solna in 1937. The club itself was founded in 1891 but the football section didn't begin until five years later. The Gnaget nickname is a reference to the club's early black jerseys, which turned rat-like gray after too many washes.

Råsundastadion:

The stadium is named for a neighborhood of Solna and is typically called simply Råsunda.
