Description: Newtownards is at the head of Strangford Lough which separates the Ards peninsula from the rest of County Down. Dixon Park is actually the home of another Irish club Ballyclare Comrades in the town of Ballyclare, a long long way from Newtownards. Ards do not have a ground of their own. Before Dixon Park they played for several years at Clandeboyne Park, the home of Bangor. Previous stadium - Castlereagh (1923-98).
