Description: Founded on March 25, 1914 by disaffected members of Iraklis. Aris is the Greek version of Ares, the God of War in Classical Greece. His image is featured on the club's emblem. The yellow and black club colors are those of the Byzantine Empire and the Orthodox Church. The stadium is officially named for a former player from the 1940s, although it is commonly known by the district where it is located.
