Description:

Formed by the merger of Ciocanul Bucureşti and Unirea Tricolor MAI under the umbrella of the Romanian Interior Ministry. As in most Communist countries, clubs associated with the Interior Ministry were given the name Dinamo. Reached the European Cup semifinals in 1984 and the European Cup Winner's Cup semifinals in 1990. Dinamo are one of the two most popular and successful clubs in Romania, along with arch-rivals Steaua.
