Description:
Founded on December 2, 1902. At the urging of the federation the name was changed from Be Quick (already used by many clubs of the era) to Go Ahead. It is a rough English translation of the Dutch word vorwaerts which was also in widespread use at the time. The professional section separated from the rest of the club in 1971, the professional section adopting the name Go Ahead Eagles while the rest remained as Go Ahead. The new name was suggested by then-manager Welshman Barry Hughes. Traditionally supported by the working class while arch-rivals Zwolle are more middle class. De Adelaarshorst translates as The Eagle's Nest. Previous Stadiums: UD Veld (1902-20).

Trophy Room:
* Dutch Championship (1917, 22, 30, 33)
