Description:

Heart of Midlothian takes its name from a popular local dance hall, which in turn took its name from the novel The Heart of Midlothian by Sir Walter Scott. Hearts fans are known as Jambos, which follows a trail of rhyming slang - Hearts to Jam Tarts to Jambos. The club emblem is based on the actual Heart of Midlothian, a mosaic built into the pavement of Edinburgh's Royal Mile.
