Description:

Although the club was officially founded in Edinburgh in 1943 as Ferranti Thistle, they effectively became a new club when Meadowbank Thistle moved to Livingston. At the end of the 2008-09 season Livingston were relegated (and nearly disappeared) as a result of financial problems.
