Description:

Association Athlétique Louvièroise were founded on January 26, 1913 in a meeting at the Place Maugrétout (a street in the center of La Louvière). They added the prefix Royal to the club name in 1937. Royal is an honorary title given by the Belgian royal family to every club in Belgium after twenty-five years of existence. RAA La Louvièroise were relegated to the second level for 2006-07, but were denied a professional license so had to drop another level down to the Third Division. La Louvière means "the wolf", thus the Wolves nickname. The stadium is located on the city's Boulevard du Tivoli. RAA La Louvièroise had matricule #93.

In the summer of 2009 RAA Louvièroise merged with RACS Couillet to form a new club named Football Couillet La Louvière which will compete in the fourth-tier Promotion for 2009-10. As this club will keep the matricule of RACS Couillet (#94) it can be considered that the club that began as Association Athlétique Louvièroise in 1913 no longer exists. However the new club Football Couillet La Louvière will be based at the Stade du Tivoli in La Louvière so in another sense Les Loupes continue after all.
