Description:

Founded on October 3, 1925. Olympiakos is a reference to Mt. Olympus of Greek mythology (and a real mountain in Northern Greece). Full name translation: Olympiacos Fan Club of Piraeus. Formed as a merger of Piraues Football Club and Piraues Fans Club. Piraues is a suburb of Athens. Olympiakos are the most popular team in Greece. The Legend nickname dates from an extremely successful team in the 1930s, who happened to feature five brothers.

Stadio Karaiskaki:

The club played for many years at the older Karaiskaki stadium, which was completely rebuilt for the 2004 Olympic Games. It is named for Georgios Karaiskaki, a hero of the 1821 Greek Revolution.
