Full Name: Sporting Clube de Braga City: Braga Founded: 1921 Stadium: Estádio Municipal de Braga (30,154) Colors: Red, White Nicknames: Os Arsenalistas, Bracarenses Rival: Vitória de Guimarães
Description: Founded by a group of students in Braga and named after Sporting Lisbon. Their colors were initially also the same, but after a trip to London in the 1930s a manager suggested they adopt the colors of the English club Arsenal. This also explains the team's nickname. Bracarenses means "those from Braga". The club's emblem includes that of the city of Braga, with the royal crown of Braga across the top.
