Description:

The Welsh FA is the third oldest national assocation in the world, after England and Scotland. It organizes the Welsh Cup (also the third oldest domestic cup in the world) as well as the Welsh Premier League (since 1992). Although it is the highest league within Wales, many of the top Welsh have always played in the English system and several continue to do so. Cardiff City in fact once won England's FA Cup, still the only non-English club to have done this. Since 1995 the clubs competing in the English system have not been allowed to compete in the Welsh Cup.
