Description:

Alemannia is the Latin name for Germany. Merged in 1919 with Aachener Turnverein 1847. The two clubs split in 1924. The Kartoffelkäfer is used because of the uniforms' similarity to the bugs.

The stadium is named for the 19th century Tivoli Manor which is located nearby.

it has a new stadium (32.000) since aug 09.
it's a little bit north on google map above.
the old one is still there but nowerdays out of order.

Hi Hardy, thanks very much for the info.

I've corrected the map to where I *think* the stadium is located. It's not showing up yet in google maps. Hopefully soon!

BTW, isn't herzogenrath where adidas and puma started?

No, that's Herzogenaurach in Bavaria.
