Description:

Ards FC hail from the twon of Newtownards at the head of Strangford Lough which separates the Ards peninsula from the rest of County Down.

Newtonards:

Dixon Park, the current home of Ards FC, is actually the home of another Irish club Ballyclare Comrades in the town of Ballyclare, a long long way from Newtownards. Ards do not have a ground of their own. Before Dixon Park they played for several years at Clandeboyne Park, the home of Bangor. Previous stadium - Castlereagh (1923-98).
