Description:
Bidvest is the club sponsor. Formed by the student council Transvaal Technical Institute, a precursor to the University of Witwatersrand. Played in the Transvaal regional league until joining the newly-created NFL in 1959. Joined the NPSL in 1978. Joined the NSL in 1986 which evolved into the Premier Soccer League ten years later.
