Description:

The club is named for the Ceahlău Mountain near the city of Piatra Neamţ. Founded on October 20, 1919. The earlier name Progresul means Progress. Merged with Hîrtia Piatra Neamţ and Celuloza Piatra Neamţ in 1954. Separated into Avîntul Piatra Neamţ and Rapid Piatra Neamţ for the 1957-58 season but then re-merged the next year. Merged with Relonul Savineşti for the 1979-80 season but then separated at the end of the season.
