Description: Competed initially in the Dundalk & District League, then the Newry League, then back to the Dundalk & District League after joining the newly-created FA of Ireland, then to the Leinster Senior League and finally the Free State Senior League (which has evolved into today's League of Ireland). The first provincial team to win the League of Ireland title and remain the most successful club from outside of Dublin. The Lilywhites nickname comes from their white jerseys.
