Description: The name translates as Gothenburg Athletic and Sports Club. Part of a multi-sports club, founded in 1894. The football section was launched three years later. Two of GAIS's titles (1925 and 27) are not considered official national championships. Although they did win the Allsvenskan, at that time it was the Swedish Cup that had that honor. Previous Stadiums: Gamla Ullevi (-2006). GAIS are playing in the Ullevi stadium until the Gamla Ullevi is rebuilt for (hopefully) the 2008 season.
