Description:

Granada CF make their return to La Liga in 2011 after a 35 year absence, a flirtation with bankruptcy and a descent to the 4th tier of Spanish football. El Graná will be looking to match some of the heights reached in their history - two 6th place finishes in the 1970s and an appearance in the final of the 1959 Copa del Generalissimo (now Copa del Rey), which they lost to FC Barcelona.

Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes:

Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes (The New Los Cármenes Stadium) was opened in 1995 and replaced the Estadio Los Cármenes. It is located in the Zaidín-Vergeles neighborhood. Granada is known as the city of Cármenes, which are kind of traditional garden architecture common to Granada that dates back to the Moorish era.
