Description:

Founded on January 3, 1915 from the merger of El Progreso and Lanús United. Lanús is a city and district of Buenos Aires province, just south of the city proper. Played the 1934 season as Union Talleres-Lanús, a merger of Lanús and Talleres. Like many clubs in Argentina Lanús are a multi-sport club, with facilities for its members and professional teams in others sports.
