Description:

Lokomotiv were founded on August 12,1923 by Lazar Kaganovich under the name Club of the October Revolution. The team were renamed to Kazanka (for the Moscow-Kazanskaya railroad) in 1931 and then eventually to Lokomotiv in 1936. Lokomotiv twice reached the semifinals of the European Cup Winners' Cup, in 1998 and 1999.
