Numancia was founded on April 9, 1945. Numancia is an historic site located near the city of Soria. It was populated by the Celto-Iberian people and was eventually conquered by the Romans in the 2nd century BC. The full name translates as Numancia Sports Club of Soria and includes a number of sports sections besides football. The nickname Rojillos means little Reds, a reference to their red shirts. The club's emblem includes a castle, also present in the coat of arms of the city of Soria, symbolizing its Castillian heritage. Castile is an historic kingdom that gradually evolved into the Kingdom of Spain. It is represented in the modern-day provinces of Castilla y Leon and Castilla-La Mancha as well as Madrid. that At the top of the club's emblem is an image of King Alonso XIII, who was protected as a boy by the inhabitants of the city and when he was older gave special consideration to the city.

Nuevo Estadio Los Pajaritos:

The Nuevo Pajaritos stadium was built in 1999, to replace an older one of the same name. Los Pajaritos is a neighborhood on the south side of the city of Soria.
