Description:

Orlando Pirates were founded at Soweto's Orlando Boys Club. The boys were big fans of the Errol Flynn pirate movie 'Captain Blood' and other similar roles he played and thus chose the name Orlando Pirates for their club. The Bucs are the oldest football club in the country and the only South African club to have won the African Champions League. Pirates are generally considered the second most popular football club in the country, after their arch-rival Kaizer Chiefs.
