Makedonska Slava is created during the year of 1928 in Gorna Djumaya (today known as the city of Blagoevgrad) after the joining of the oldest sport clubs in the city - Macedonia (March 1923) and Ilinden (1924). On June 17 1945, the name is changed to the sporting union Macedonia. Three years later it joined the new sporting union Julii Dermendjiev in which the team of Botev Plovdiv also joins. During the year 2000 it is changed back to the name of Makedonska Slava. Starts playing in 2002 and then moves to the town of Simitli. During the Summer of 2004 is renamed to Pirin 1922, and moves back to Blagoevgrad where the team starts playing at the start of 2005. After the season 2005 the name Pirin Blagoevgrad is born, and a new team emerges.
