Description: SV Austria Salzburg formed by the merger of FC Hertha and FC Rapid. Purchased by the drinks maker Red Bull in 2005 and effectively became a 'new team' with new emblem, new colors, etc. A significant section of the fan base rejected the change and have created a 'new' Austria Salzburg which has begun competing in the lower levels of Austrian football. The stadium is located in the Salzburg suburb of Wals-Siezenheim. It is the only stadium in Austria to have an artificial surface.
