Description:
Like all Belgian clubs the club received the honorific Royal title to add to their name after twenty-five years of membership in the Belgian FA. Merged with RFC Tilleur-Saint-Nicolas from the suburbs of Liège in 1995 to avoid bankruptcy. RFC de Liège were sued by Jean-Marc Bosman for not releasing him from contract, which led the ground-breaking Bosman Ruling. Matricule #4.

RFC de Liège currently play in the small town of Ans to the west of Liège while a new stadium is being built.
