Description:

Founded on September 27, 1907 by ex-members of Atlético de la Juventud. The club was named for José de San Martín, one of the important figures in Argentina's war for independence from Spain. Participated in the 1970 Torneo Nacional, their only participation at the top level before promotion to the Primera División for the 2007-08 season.
