The Shamrock is a traditional symbol of Ireland. It was used by Saint Patrick to illustrate the Holy Trinity. They are originally from the Dublin neighborhood of Ringsend. In 1987, the club's longtime ground (Glenmalure Park, Milltown) was sold by its owners. The decision was immensely unpopular with the fanbase and led to them selling the club soon after. They have since played home games in five different grounds in Dublin (RDS, Santry Stadium, Richmond Park, Tolka Park and Dalymount Park), and even one ‘home’ game in Cork, 240km away! For the 2007 season they are using Shelbourne's Tolka Park. They are currently working to develop a stadium of their own in the Tallaght neighborhood of Dublin. It is set to open for the 2009 season.
