Description:

Tampico and Madero are neighboring cities in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. The stadium bears the name of the state and is located in Madero. The cities are located on the Gulf of Mexico, thus the crabs nickname.

 

The franchise of Tampico Madero was dissolved after the 2009-10 season as part of the restructuring of the Mexican Second Division. A newly reorganized Tampico Madero restarts in the third-tier Liga Premier de Ascenso (not to be confused with the second-tier Liga de Ascenso). Tampico Madero will play in the Zona Centro.

I remember the Jaibos de Tampico, soccer team as my favorite when I was a kid, back in the '60,s. Your page is very informative although needs more specific information, like players names,important games, games reviews and most of all the chronicle of games neighboring rival Madero, congratulations on your effort to bring this historical information to loyal fans
