Description:

2007 was the debut season for Toronto FC, the first Canadian team in the previously all-American MLS. Two more Canadian teams will be joining the league in the coming years, with Vancouver Whitecaps making the move in 2011 and Montreal Impact in 2012.

 

Toronto Football Clubs’s red and white colors are those of the Canadian flag. The club's emblem incorporates the Maple Leaf, the symbol of Canada and also prominent in the Canadian flag. Toronto FC are owned by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) who also own the hockey Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL and basketball Toronto Raptors of the NBA.

BMO Field:

TFC plays at BMO stadium, named for its sponsor BMO (Bank of Montreal). It is owned by the city but managed by MLSE.
