Description:The name Tecos translates as Owls. The club was originally founded by students of the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and Tecos is also the name of an alleged secret society in the UAG. The stadium is named for the date of the university's foundation. It is located in Zapopan, a suburb of Guadalajara. Tecos are one of only two clubs and the only current club in the Primera División who have climbed all the way from the bottom of the pyramid of Mexican football to the top. In May 2009 the club officially changed its name, colors, emblem and uniform as part of a new project to improve the club's image and also coincided with the entrance of a new investment group. The new colors of claret and gold were actually used when the club first was launched. League Titles:
