Description:

The Serie 2 (II-a in Romanian) is one of two groups of Liga II, the second-tier league in Romanian football and includes the clubs from the western half of Romania. For many years it was known as Divizia B. The 18 teams play each other twice (home and away) for a total of 34 games. The top two teams are promoted to Liga I, while the bottom 3 are relegated to Liga III.
