The Regionalliga Ost (East Regional League) is one of three leagues at the third level of Austrian football. The 16 clubs play each other twice (home and away) for a total of 30 games. The bottom 3 clubs are relegated to the fourth-tier Landesliga. The champions are promoted to the Erste Liga. The season runs from August to June, with a three month winter break.
