Dundee FC win the Scottish Challenge Cup

Dundee FC logoDundee FC won the 2009 Scottish Challenge Cup 3-2 over Inverness Caledonian Thistle at St Johnstone's McDiarmid Park. The title was Dundee's second in this competition, officially known as the Alba Challenge Cup for title sponsors MG Alba, the first coming in 1991 in the tournament's debut.

 

The Scottish Challenge Cup is open to all 30 clubs in the three divisions of the Scottish Football League. The Dees came from 2-0 down at halftime to take the victory 3-2.

 

Airdrieonians and Falkirk are joint leaders in the all-time trophy list with three titles.
