Description:

The league name (Campeonato Brasileiro Série A) translates as the A Series of the Brazilian Championship, the top league in the Brazilian system. It's sometimes called the Brasileirão - The Big Brazilian. The 20 teams play each other two times (home and away) for a total of 38 games. The bottom four clubs are relegated. The season runs from May to December.
