The league's official name includes that of the title sponsor TURKCELL, a Turkish telecoms company. The 18 clubs in the Turkish Super League play each other twice (home and away) for a total of 34 games. The bottom three clubs are relegated to the TFF First League. The season runs from August to May with a two month winter break.
