Description:
The II Liga Zachodnia (The Polish Second League West) is one of two third-tier leagues in the Polish soccer pyramid. The II Liga was reorganized after the 2007-08 season and the previous four leagues at the third tier were reduced to two and also renamed to the Second League after previously being known as the Third League. The 18 teams play each other twice (home and away) for a total of 34 games. The season runs from July to May with a winter break. The top two teams are promoted to the I Liga while the 3rd place team goes into a promotion/relegation playoff with a team from the I Liga.
